                                 BISHOP KARL V. PERRY SR. 
     Bishop Karl V. Perry, Sr. was licensed a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on March 6, 1994, and called to ordination by The Mount Carmel Baptist Church, New Orleans, Louisiana on December 19, 1996.  He is the founder and Senior Pastor/Teacher of New Dimension Christian Fellowship Ministries now named New Journey Word Church. 


     Bishop Perry earned an Associate Degree in Liberal Christian Biblical Studies (2000) from the New Orleans School of Urban Ministries.  He served as Founder/CEO/Program Director of The Mount Neighborhood Development Committee, a federally funded non-profit organization (January 1999-2001). 


     Bishop Perry served 8 years as Senior Pastor /Teacher of The Second Mount Carmel Baptist Church, New Orleans, Louisiana, up until the Hurricane Katrina disaster of 2005. After which he and his family relocated to Houston, Texas. After a year of ministry in Houston  Bishop Perry shut down his Houston location and was led by God to relocate to Rockford, Illinois in 2006 where he became Senior Pastor/Teacher of the Second Christian Church, serving from November 12, 2006 - June 30, 2009. 


     Bishop Perry faithfully serves on the planning council of Grace International Fellowship (GIF) under the leadership of Presiding Prelate Bishop R. J. Burt. He oversees the Marketing and Communications component of GIF; he's also the Bishop of the Southern region of GIF. 


     Bishop Perry's favorite book of the Bible is Psalms.  He is blessed with God's favor, mercy, grace, and salvation.  He has been given a vision and the passion to develop the God given gifts possessed by each individual and to empower them to be who God has designed them to be. His ministry is one of empowerment.
